Mario Vayne’s story as an artist started long back, when, as a little kid, he would listen to his family’s rock records, a genre he intends to revive in 2023.

He admits his composition style hasn’t changed much since he was younger, always paying tribute to icons of the likes of Paul Stanley, Steve Perry and Diana Ross, to name a few.

This constant removes friction from his writing process, allowing him to fully concentrate on what he does best: playing rock n’roll, baby!

Talking about “Baby,” his latest single, he reveals it was a song inspired by love, something the world pretty much needs at the moment.

That is the goal of his current live performances, and he hopes to soon embark on full-on tour.

Introduce yourself: Who is Mario Vayne? How and when was the project born?

Mario Vayne is a singer-songwriter from Queensland, Australia. I started my journey when I was 8 years old, inspired by my musically inclined Italian parents. I wrote my first song when I was 11 years old, and since then it has become my life. I had a dream and that was to dream big and believe.

How has your music changed in the past few years?

I've gone through various stages of musical tastes. As a young kid, I listened to a lot of early 70s records that were lying around my aunties house. Over the years, it progressed to loving rock, soul, blues, Motown and I blame the guitar for my changing tastes as I fell in love with my distortion pedal which led me to rock n’roll.

Who inspired your music? Who are your biggest influences?

My singing influencers are Robin Zander, Lou Gramm, John Waite, Paul Stanley, Steve Perry and Diana Ross.

How did you develop this style? Will you experiment with other genres in the future?

I don’t experiment with any genres. I've always had the same way of writing since I was 11. Nothing really much has changed and, as I don’t go chasing the song or the style, the song comes to me.

Let's talk about "Baby:" What inspired it and how did it come to life?

“Baby” was inspired by love. Taking a chance believing in yourself and daring to take a risk, giving love a second chance. It's about what the world needs now, good positive vibes.

Who produces your tracks? How do you choose which producers to work with? Do you have some dream producers you'd like to work with?

My producer is Simon Cohen at Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia and mastering engineer Steve Smart is also at Studios 301. It's all about the chemistry. You always dream of meeting the person who hears your music the same way you do. And I feel blessed that I found that.

Is music your main occupation at the moment? If not, how are you conciliating your day job with your music career?

Music is my main occupation, always has been always will be. I've had some interludes in my time, but it always leads me back to music.

Have you ever been on tour? If not, would you like to embark on one? If yes, tell us about it.

Yes, very much so. Jamming with the dudes at the moment, creating the most awesome show on earth, and looking forward to our first tour. Stay tuned…

Where do you see yourself in one year as a musician?

Touring the world and writing many more songs.
