Pete Asshill is serious, but also like a bit of dark humour. They aim for their own personal style in both lyrics and compositions. Not mainstream but hopefully understandable. It's hard to categorize the genre, but they think it's anyway rock (alt-rock, prog, indie). Pete Asshill is independent & unsigned & not active in SoMe - they think the song itself tells a story. The lyrics of this song - "Before Noon" - bring up a message concerning lack of the freedom of expression. Unfortunately, history repeats itself and a dictatorship is still strong in many countries.

Kamil: Hey Pete Asshill, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?
Thanks, my brother (a drummer here) & I received a guitar as an Christmas present from my parents & John Lennon.
What is your creative process like?
I play my guitar trying to find distinctive melodies & harmonies. In the lyrics I try to give something to think about. Sometimes lyrics are done first & melodies etc. later.
Your latest song is 'Before Noon'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?
The song was inspired by John Lennon. There was a two years break before release, because we didn't like enough the original arrangement of the song. (That's why our original singer don't sing this.)
What was the most difficult challenge you faced?
As an independent & unsigned artist it's hard to get our music into the public consciousness & gain new listeners. We do not prefer many streams. Rather we like a couple of dedicated listeners.
What is the biggest mistake you have made within your career to this point?
Difficult to say! Maybe that we do like to be SoMe active.
Are there people who help you with the production of the songs?
Not actually except our friends. But of course some help in mixing & mastering.
What are your long term goals?
As mentioned earlier we have a couple of songs quite ready for the release. Before that we would like to find out if there are people, who like to listen our kind of music.
What do your fans mean to you? What do you value most in them?
Very important. That's why we have been releasing music. Unfortunately not very many has found our music so far. Anyhow, hopefully they enjoy our music.
What memorable responses have you had to your work?
A couple of local radios has been playing our songs.
Where is the best place in the world you’ve ever been to?
At home.
