LITM Rock Picks This Week: Field Trip Day and more!

In this edition of LITM Rock Picks, we curate a mix of artists like Field Trip Day and more!

Field Trip Day - “The Void”

Field Trip Day is a pop rock band who pride themselves on an aura of mystery about themselves. With their latest music, they’ve been at work crafting a feel-good rock sound, and their latest single, “The Void”, bears witness to that — be be it the groovy basses in the intro, or the guitars that come alive shortly thereafter, the vocals sure have a good foundation throughout this track — and said vocals bring this track full circle with their delightful, airy delivery, and coupled with the well-balanced mix, this one is a great listen for sure! Giack Bazz - “Future Ram”

Giack Bazz is a London-based indie rock singer-songwriter known for his introspective and socially critical music. On his latest album, “Bedtime Stories For Computers”, he brings the track “Future Ram” — a full instrumental that explores textures and sounds in electronic music, this track is a showcase of Giack’s production prowess in its purest form. Be it the gently evolving arpeggiated sections or the potent low-end, this track creates an atmosphere like none other — and the percussion holds things together supremely well. With great sound design and even better execution, this track is a winner; take a listen to it here!

The Assist - “Disconnections”

The Assist blend indie anthems with hip-hop beats and dance rhythms, bringing a slew of melodies inspired by their Black Country roots — and on their latest single, “Disconnections”, they bring a high-energy rock track that tastefully blends in introspective lyricism with spirited guitar playing and energetic drumming. The vocal execution and delivery are spot on over the course of the track, and it’s only made better by the layers in the production that add a whole lot of atmosphere and energy to the track. All in all, a winner! Check it out here:

DAAY - “Should I Lie”

Blending psychedelic, punk, and jazz influences, DAAY have carved a niche in London’s live music scene with their groovy, engaging sound — and on their latest single, “Should I Lie”, they present a track that ebbs with energy and innovative production. The song is structured to maximize the groove, and we’re fans! The chorus sections are infectious and get stuck in your head without much effort at all — and the verses play in between quite well — all while the long instrumental passages add a touch of tonality and personality to the song that’s simply unmistakable. Aeonya - “Burn The Bridge”

After a decade fronting rock band Red Queen, Aeonya has launched a solo career, blending indie/alternative vibes with a punch of rock. His latest single, “Burn The Bridge”, explores a sound that hits close to home, with the energy of the track holding you up high right from the start. Aeonya’s vocals and his harmonies make for a great time as the rest of the ensemble plays with effortless synergy, making for a track that flows like water atop a pebble. The mix is rather well-rounded and presented excellently, rounding this track out handsomely. Check out the track here!
