LITM Rock Picks This Week: Cmon Cmon and more!

In this edition of LITM Rock Picks, we curate a mix of artists like Cmon Cmon and more!

Cmon Cmon - “All The Other Kids”

Cmon Cmon is a band made of Jorrit Hermans and Steven Omblets — and in their words, they bring a no-compromise approach to power pop; and on their latest single, “All The Other Kids”, they bring to the fore a sound that’s rooted deep in rock and feel-good pop; maintaining poignant undertones, this track comes into its own come the verses, and the energy swells beautifully in the chorus sections; there’s much to appreciate about how this song comes together overall. The mix is also beautifully well-rounded, giving this track a foundation that’s rock solid. All in all, a winner of a track! Take a listen to it here:

Monrad - “Not Yet”

Monrad, the solo project of Matthew Ramon, weaves reverb-soaked guitar with dark surf and spaghetti western vibes, crafting raw and evocative music that has a smidge of everything about it — and on his latest single, “Not Yet”, he brings beautifully crafted guitars, lush synths, and hypnotic storytelling with his bass vocals to the fore. The lyrics are full of emotion and introspection, as Matthew slowly brings in the organic percussion and the layered textures in the mix to truly paint this canvas full of life — and to top it all off, the song has an energy that’s unmistakable. Take a listen to it here!

Mark Vennis & Different Place - “Song For Sunrise”

Mark Vennis & Different Place have released two notable projects showcasing their unique blend of punk, soul, and blues-infused rock — and from their Sunrise EP, they present “Song For Sunrise” — a golden-hued rock track with optimism and positivity that flows from the sound the minute you bring this track on. The mini-solos throughout the track dot the transitions between the various sections of the track, and there’s much to appreciate about how the sections of this track are woven together. All in all, a winner of a track! Check it out here!

Dude Safari - “Love Me Like You Want Me”

Dude Safari is a pop quartet from Surrey, England, that’s been putting out hit after hit since their conception in 2021 — and bringing their signature grunge power rock motives to the fore, they bring their latest single, “Love Me Like You Want Me” — and from beginning to end, this track oozes energy and personality; the vocals are charming and distinctive, while the chugging guitars in the background lend this track a sense of life and urgency that manifests rather well in this track. The breakdowns and halftimes throughout the track serve to bring a sense of variety into the sound, leaving this track a full circle, and us, fulfilled — check it out here!

Eddie Cohn - “Stop Waving The Gun”

Eddie Cohn, an indie-rock mainstay, combines a lifetime of artistic pursuits with a deep passion for creative expression. Originally from Cleveland but now rooted in Los Angeles, he brings his signature sound to his latest track, “Stop Waving The Gun” — a track that blends elements of rock and roll, blues, and infectious stomping rhythms that come together beautifully. The vocals are the highlight of this track as the guitars build the atmosphere steadily in the background, bringing this song to a mix that’s full of life, and evolves continuously throughout, taking the listener along with it for a ride that’s unforgettable. All in all, a winner! Check out the track here:
