Rebellion of Panda - “In The Cage”
Rebellion of Panda is an experimental rock project that explores a downtempo hip-hop sound in their music, and on their latest single, “In The Cage”, they bring on the talents of vocalist Arianna Vox as a feature. Right from the start of the song, there’s a mysterious allure to this track that captures the attention of the listener, and the rich synth layers in the background are rather well supported by the guitars, and the drumming keeps things going rather precisely. All in all, a winner of a track! Check it out here:
We Have Ghosts - “Red Wall Colliers”
England-based trio We Have Ghosts bursts onto the scene with their high-energy single, “Red Wall Colliers”, blending elements of punk, garage rock, and rock and roll — and the driving nature of this track is a standout from bar one. Be it the potent bass playing, or the steady rhythms on this track that captivate the listener, there’s much to appreciate throughout the runtime of this track. The vocal performance is the highlight here with its energy, while the guitars support supremely well. All in all, a track you mustn’t miss! Check it out here:
Ho Jo Fro - “Mudville (Well, Well, Well, Well)”
Charlottesville-based collective Ho Jo Fro crafts vibrant, collaborative tunes, with their latest single, "Mudville (Well, Well, Well, Well)," they bring a merry sound with elements of sunny beachside pop, impressing with its soft demeanor and approach to the instruments. The interplay between the female and the male vocals is great, while the clean electrics in the background serve to keep this track chugging along no problems; and to top it all off, the drumming and the brasses in the background infuse even more life into the mix. Matt DeAngelis, a singer-songwriter from Southern New Jersey, channels his lifelong passion for music, mental health advocacy, and climate awareness into heartfelt songs — known for his towering vocals and rock solid instrumentals, he brings his latest track, “Rejection” — a poignant number that’s sculpted by his golden vocals with their clean sections, vocal runs, and gruff sections that simply leave one in awe. The drumming and the screaming guitars in the background complement Matt’s singing with aplomb, while the sections of the track are tastefully laid out, a masterclass in good songwriting. Replaced By Robots - “The Laboratory”
With a wild blend of surrealism and nostalgia, Berlin-based trio Heather Joy Morgan, Goolkasian, and Adam Wade deliver a "vivid & hypnotic" sound on their musical project, “Replaced By Robots”; and their latest single, “The Laboratory”, is an explosion of energy from the very start. Be it the grunge-esque rock sound with elements of psychedelia, or the experimental vocals, this track offers a full platter. The guitars remind me of The Chain’s outro, while the energy builds steadily to a point of anticipation and sweet release in the background. This track really comes full circle with the way it’s written, and it is a damn sight indeed; check it out here!
