FNTSY - Performance Visualiser

FNTSY is out with a concept album called “Performance Visualiser” consisting of four songs. This high-powered album hits the roof with the vocals soaring through in each one of them with FNTSY’s bold voice taking center stage. The opening track “Prey For The Rain” is a slow-paced melody that opens up his voice signalling the arrival of a beast. The riser towards the end of the song gives the listener a taste of what is to come. “Clarity” takes it on as the groove comes to play with the guitars and the drums kicking in and the vocals taking it up a notch. “Villian” is the third track and it throws it way back. There’s a familiar groove with layers of vocalizations and effects building it up to the cathartic breakdowns. “Guilt Trip” is the last track of the lot and suddenly you’re transported. The piano weaves a melody through which the vocals glide through like butter. Suddenly you realise the entire album has been about a journey. A journey that takes the listener through an emotive experience of love and loss.

Annie and the Jays - Too Shallow

Straight out of Edinburgh, Annie and the Jays are out with their latest single “Too Shallow”. An emotionally charged, cathartic track with acoustic guitars, rock ‘n’ roll drum beats and electrifying vocals. Annie Liddle takes on the vocals and hits it out of the park with this one. The lyrics of the song are introspective and explore post-break-up realisations. Uplifting and empowering, the song draws inspiration from alternative rock elements to showcase passion and pain. The band connects with its listeners by being vulnerable and honest, which translates to their music. With the release of their second song, Annie and the Jays are the act to look out for in the indie pop and rock scene.

The Mercadonnas - Animals

The boyband from Carlow, Ireland, The Mercadonnas is out with their new EP and the title track is “Animals”. It is a track filled with emotion, rage and colourful chords. The song begins with a tune that melts into the following guitar riff. When the vocals start, it’s almost as if the band is telling a tale. The soundscape is intricately crafted with a lead guitar in the background gradually transforming to the rhythm while the drums give the track life. This alternative rock song with subtle pop elements comes alive with the energy of the instrumentation and the vocalist takes it from there. Listen now!

My Glass World - Always Another Train

“Always Another Train” is the latest single released by My Glass World. This song is a part of the forthcoming album Stranded Assets. The song is a beautiful blend of a multitude of genres and a result of innovative creation. Taking the elements of indie pop music with the soul of rock music. Add a little bit of new-age synth sounds coupled with the colour and freedom of jazz, and you got yourself a hell of a composition. The sweet overdrive tone of the guitar and the menacing solos in between the verses grip you to the bone. The song is based on the story of a German serial killer who hung around railway stations waiting for his victims, mixed with the alleged murderous life of Ruscoe Arbuckle.

9 o’clock Nasty - Bad Vegan

The three-piece garage rock band from Leicester, 9 o’clock Nasty is out with their latest single “Bad Vegan”. As tight as tight can get is the feeling you get when listening to this fast-paced, mini-explosion of a song. This groovy punk song is dense with powerful riffs, fast beats and groovy vocals layered over different sound effects. 9 o’clock Nasty creates a chaotic soundscape and arranges it to create pure fun in a 1:35-minute song. The melodic chaos is almost like an anthem with the layers of vocals. Quite literally, “Bad Vegan” is the band having a good time creating some well-crafted tunes with a bit of sarcastic and cheeky lyrics and it’s a treat.
