Chris) Hi SATRE, how are you today?

Satre) I'm fine thanks, and you?

For those that haven’t heard of you yet, how would you best describe your sound and who have been your biggest influences so far?

My basic goal is not to copy and to be original. In this period I am trying to work on myself, trying to improve the productions, the arrangements and the post-production. Biggest Influences? I think I have no particular influences. I don't listen to music by other artists in particular, if something intrigues me, I stop and listen to it.

You also take inspiration from a variety of different genres. Can you tell us what kind of music you listened to while you were growing up?

I have two sisters much older than me so I listened to a lot of music even from past times. Rock, pop, metal, reggae, Soul, Funk, Disco, but also jazz because I studied jazz. I also enjoy dancing, some movie soundtracks also attract me. Pianists, there are some very talented modern ones. So… a crazy mixture, but they say that beauty has many forms, right?

And what was the first album you remember owning?

I don't really remember, I remember stealing a lot of vinyl from my sisters. I can tell you the last song I listened to by another artist: "Lil Peep - Falling down"

You have just released your new single ‘Go Around In My Head’. Can you tell us how that release came about? Is there a story behind it?

My music generally takes its cue from the mood of the moment. ‘Go around in my head’ was born in an afternoon. For me this is a good sign because if I work a lot of time on a track many times then I reject it

How would you say it compares to your previous releases?

I don't have a publisher, a producer or a record company who helps me or imposes a type of music on me or anything else. So I don't think of always having the same style or a single common thread between all my productions. I understand that the listener may not understand it but honestly, at this moment I don't care. If you go to listen to my first songs (for example "the beginning") they are not really comparable to the last ones, they are really very different

The coronavirus outbreak has obviously affected everyone’s plans, but what have you got in store for the rest of the year?

The plan is to stay healthy, right?

And finally, what do you hope to have achieved as an artist in the next five years?

I don't enjoy dealing with promotion, social media, I do it but little and unwillingly. I just don't contact labels, promoters or anything else. The hope may be to find someone to take care of these aspects... Can you ask around if anyone cares? But even if I don't find it, I will still play because I have to do it myself.
