Hi Bad Ass Beauty. How has the time gone for you since our last interview?

Heyyy! πŸ‘‹πŸΎ All's been blessed and all's been well thx!

Who is your favourite musician?

Beyonce and In This Moment (band). That ain't gonna change. 🀣

Your latest track is 'Broken'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

My writing and production partner on this full album, Anthony Gemignani, sent me a track he was working on in its infancy stages and I was going thru yet another traumatic break up. Ughhhh!!! It wrote itself. There was no block, no second guessing, no bickering, no storm outs, no cuss outs...πŸ˜‚, during the entire album process! That part alone is an unusual thing happening for me. That's how I knew I found my "thing"!

Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a musician.

Favorite: the creative process... all the craziness in my head coming out and expressing itself in whatever canvas I'm doing at the moment. Then being able to sit back and take it all in after it's done. Like. Fuck yea. I DID THAT!!!

Least favorite: the creative process...all the doubts and insecurities and vulnerabilities and self degrading and fears and hatred come out with that as well. It's draining. It's mortifying actually.

What’s your scariest experience?

Life and navigating my way thru it.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Damn. I'm not in the headspace to answer that at the moment. That's for another day with some Grey Goose and some good company that understand the struggle and ain't about all the fuck shit...

How do you know when a work is finished?

I don't. It's never fully finished to me. I can always go back years later and have a full on debate with myself about a mix level or what I could've or should've done vocally or stylistically during one part or another. Or a lyric I should've used instead of what I went with. That's why I obsessively listen to what I do during the recording process then for about 1 week ofter the final mix is done. If I'm happy then I really don't listen to it that much if at all unless I'm in the live performance stage of the game.

Can you write what was your best performance in your career? How do you remember it?

Nope cuz I haven't had it yet. The next show/performance always has to be bigger and better so let's double back to this question when I do my 1st stadium tour or my 1st Grammy performance!! (Claiming that in Jesus name)

How do you find yourself in the music business? When you started out in music, did you know it would be like this?

It's a harsh reality and a soul crushing struggle that if this isn't truly in every fiber of your being and soul then this ain't for you. I knew it would be rough but I had no clue as to just how difficult, shady, shitty and downgrading this business could be. With that said. There's nothing else I would want to do. I've tried giving up. Many times. It always sucks me back in because this is what I was built for. This is what I was born to do.

What can we expect from Bad Ass Beauty in the near future?

I'm putting a band/show together now as we speak and I'm plotting world domination. All the Bad Asses of the world unite cuz this Boss Ass Bitch is coming for u and we'll do this together...one fan, one show, one love at a time β™₯️
