Kamil) Hey Lie Supine, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?

Hey Kamil! Thanks for having me! Well, my father is a vocalist, my uncle a guitarist and my mother is Freddie Mercury obsessed, so I grew up watching my dad perform, listening to loads of awesome music and watching live concert VHS tapes.

What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?

I think finding validation and being content with your art.

Your latest track is 'Be Alright'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?

I wrote this song a few years back when I had just quit a band I was in. Some things were said and one of them was that "I couldn't write a song for shit" so I went and bought a cheap acoustic and started penning songs at a rapid pace. Be Alright was one of them tunes. My life and mental health wasn't great at the time so I think I just tried to write something uplifting and nurturing.

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

I'm a tattoo artist so most days I am in the studio working. I have two daughters so I like chilling with them watching Peppa Pig and eating snacks.

Do you have a mentor or coach?

Not really but I have loads of support from my family and friends.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

I listen to a lot of music, all day every day I have music on, so I'm never short of inspiration and new ideas.
When I'm writing, if the song doesn't make me feel a certain way then I either rewrite it until it does or scrap it. I'm definitely my own worst critic so I'm constantly striving to be better.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Arctic Monkeys

How do you structure your week?

There is no structure, only coffee, colours and shapes.

What made you want to become a musician?

I always wanted to be onstage giving it all and entertaining people. The idea of being able to do that with my own songs was the appeal. So many songs mean the world to me and if I wrote a song that meant the world to someone else that would be amazing.

What are your plans for the future?

I'm just gonna keep releasing music till I die.
