Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L takes his dark strain of Hip-Hop to gritty new depths on his new track ‘Buggin’. Delivering his smooth, rhythmic flow over deep synths and haunting string samples, Breon lyrically explores the feelings of getting in too deep too quickly, keeping it candid with his signature hedonistic take. A must-add to your nighttime playlist, Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L certainly knows how to create his own atmospheric world. Brooklyn native Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L is an artist on the come up thanks to his unique tongue-in-cheek brand of shimmering hip hop. With a vocal cadence and flow similar to that of Big Sean/6lack and lyrics that aren’t afraid to explore dark, hedonistic depths, Breon is an exciting prospect about to make his mark on the scene.

Kamil) Hey Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?
Great talking to you, honestly I listened to music all the time growing up. Different genres all the time because of the different music tastes of family members. But I didn’t start making music myself until I got into a pretty bad car accident. Lost my car and since I wasn’t driving around getting into trouble anymore I spent all my free time in the studio.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Music wise? Rico Nasty and Ama Lou for sure. But to be real I have a long list of people I want to work with because there’s so many talented people out there that make dope stuff!
Your latest track is 'Buggin'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?
My boy DRKNS out of Leeds made the beat a while ago. I had most of it written pretty quickly but put the song on ice because I ended up battling Covid for a few months. There’s a haunting aspect to the song that I feel like emulated some stuff going on in my personal life I won’t get into. But if you listen to the song I go into a bit of detail.
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
At this point, any Cactus Jack show. I feel like our vibes match but I’m different enough that the fans would enjoy what I have to offer.
Why did you choose the last day of the year, December 31, as the release date for your latest track?
I make it a point to drop the last Friday of every month from now on. So it just so happened to be December 31st this time. I wish there was a deeper answer I could give you haha.
Did you feel an increase of interest in yourself after the earlier track 'DHB (Focus)'?
For sure! It’s gotten picked up by a few playlists and Instagram pages. I’m not on tik tok but I heard it’s gotten a few plays on there too! Kind of crazy, personally I really liked that song as we were mixing it but I wasn’t sure if the fans would like it. But now that song is seeming to pop up everytime I open my phone.
What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
I cannot talk about that :).
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
To be very honest music saved my life so I doubt we would be doing this interview if it wasn’t for my musical journey.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
It’s not if, it’s when. But also just follow your gut, it will never steer you wrong.
What are your plans for the future?
Release more music. Collaborate with more artists. Partner with a streaming service so me and the team can have our own short series.
