Independent artist Avis Vox's new EP "Feel It" has already gained significant attention with over 2 million views on YouTube as part of Miss Monique's live performance on the Cercle YouTube channel. With vocal resonances touching on everything from Faithless to FKA twigs and a production that at times echoes Anyma, Cristoph, ARTBAT and others, ‘Feel It’ weaves its spectacularly lament-laced spell. Cultural, political or personal - the exact meaning to Avis Vox’s lyrics are left deliberately implicit, leaving ‘Feel It’s exact meaning open to the individual’s interpretation. 'Run From Me’ finds space for touching candour and disarming insight, with an authentic non-linear ebb-&-flow nature to its optimism.

Kamil) Hey Avis Vox, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?
I have always been passionate about music, it's something that I've always loved to do. I've been singing and taking cello lessons since I was a little girl. I guess I just didn't consider any other profession for me.
How do you balance your time in the studio with other commitments such as a part-time job, family, admin?
I make sure to prioritize my time, and schedule my studio sessions and other commitments in advance, so I can make the most of my time and not neglect any important responsibilities. I also don't have any hobbies anymore.
Your latest release is 'Feel It'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?
I wrote the track "Feel It" for the Siona Label because of its lyricism and power. When the label owner, Miss Monique, accepted it, I knew my intuition had worked correctly.
Where did you get the inspiration for this EP?
The EP was inspired by the situation going on in Ukraine. In particular, the lyrics of the song "Feel It" were inspired by my desire to understand and comprehend the events happening. That's why there's a line in the lyrics: "How can I save the world?
How long did you work on the 'Feel It'? Was it an easy process for you?
I worked on the two tracks for about 2 months, including mixing in the studio. The process was not always easy, but it was definitely worth it. I am very happy with the final result.
How do you know when a work is finished?
It's always hard to determine, but I try to recognize when I feel like nothing else needs to be changed.
What was your best performance in your career? How do you remember it?
My most memorable experience was in Japan, where I performed in the cities of Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. Each city was unique and mysterious in its own way, and the people and culture made a strong impression on me.
How did you find yourself in the music business? Did you know what it would be like when you started out in music?
I started writing electronic music 12 years ago and was also a member of several electronic projects. I now have a better understanding of where I want to go, although I'm still at the beginning of my journey.
Who is your favorite musician?
My favorite musicians include Boise Noise, Stephan Bodzin, Flume, and Miss Kittin.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to collaborate with big artists, of the melodic techno genre, and continue searching for my own unique sound.
