Here they are, the rolling people and they are alive and well with WE ARE MILK. Recalling the greatness of late era Verve and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, WE ARE MILK stand tall in the long lineage of Psychedelic Rock bands both British and American alike to take the 90’s alternative rock & shoegaze movement to rockier heights. Hailing from Los Angeles and now based in Paris, this four piece took their sound all over the world, first recording parts in Liverpool and Paris as well as promoting the new killer tunes.

Hey WE ARE MILK, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?
Thanks to you and Lost In The Manor. We were all involved in different projects before We Are MILK, mostly Alternative rock and Grunge, both in Europe and the U.S. We believe a guitar riff will always carry us to a better place. We're really excited about our new video and single. We've have “made” music here. Although We Are MILK is a Los Angeles born band, the band relocated in Europe, Paris to be exact. For now…
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
J. Cole, Badflower and of course Bush. These guys have done some great stuff.
Your latest song is 'Hey (Alt Mix)'. Can you tell us more about the making of it and if there were any unusual things happening during the process?
I was having breakfast and my neighbor was blasting his radio as she always does. The news were kinda depressing as usual so I grabbed my guitar and ...Hey was born! Some songs just force their way and Hey is one of these. Then, with the band recorded it and Fran gave it its final magical touch...
What are you focussing on right now?
Freedom. Expression. Making music. Creating, Playing and recording are the things that totally captivates us in life. It’s like stepping into a feeling of wholeness, eternity. Well, very strong and priceless. We are finishing new songs right now and everything that deals with production. We love mixing and tweaking sounds. They'll be out for downloading and streaming pretty soon. Gigs are a major part of the band's life though and that part was sorta annihilated during Covid. Live performance is the core and soul of We Are MILK‘s music. On stage, nothing separates you from the public anymore and it is really like ...magic!
What is the first thing you think of when you wake up?
Coffee of course and playing music!
What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?
It's tough business wise for artists right now but it has always been in a way or another since musicians existed... I am not into “It was better before” kinda thinking. Different players but unfortunately same problems, like trying to make leaving out of making music and most of the time trying to squeeze enough time for music between day jobs and sleep...
How do you structure your day?
Playing, recording and of course promoting our new single and video. Our thought has always been to make music that makes us happy and if people like it, great! We play music that we would listen to. You have to be into with what you play. The great thing about Internet is that you don’t need to have the full album ready all at once. We really like the flexibility of showcasing songs when they are ready one or two at a time if necessary. It keeps the interest up and it is more in tune with our creative process.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?
Well, we are involved in animal rights. We strongly believe animals in general should be given a legal status. But I love making pastries when I have time...😊
Do you sing in the shower? What songs?
Yes definitely. In Bloom by Nirvana is really a good one for showering (lol). Alternatively Ghost by Badflower.
What are your plans for the future?
More Milk music obviously. As we said we’ve got a bunch of songs in the pipe. And of course gigs, shows, tour, festivals. Back on track baby...
