Rob Lea has returned with his delightful new offering 'Summer In The Morning' just in time for the warmer months. The new track follows on from his debut single 'Reflection' earlier this year that gained him huge support from national and regional press and radio. Renowned for his Queen tribute band Majesty, which has toured huge venues across the UK and Europe, Rob's solo project demonstrates his versatility as an artist, going from an emotive power ballad to a vibrant sun-soaked summer hit.

What first got you into music?
I come from a family of musicians. My Dad was a well known Caberet singer in the North of England and I grew up watching singers and musicians in Working mens clubs across the North.
What do you think your role is in this world?
What a question. Something that I have pondered most of my life as I’m sure everyone does. I definitely feel I was out here to bring people together and spread a little joy in the world. I have been very privileged to be able to entertain the public for nearly 15 years professionally and am very proud to know that what I do has either inspired others or given them an outlet or moment to breath in this chaotic life we all lead.
Your latest track is 'Summer in the Morning'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?
I wrote the whole song one day whilst playing on the beach with my kids. It was a glorious Summers day and it reminded me of those moments when you were younger and you would meet up with friends or relatives that you only seem to see in the Summer holidays. The song fell out of me in a couple of hours.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
One message I always give to my fans is thank you for giving my life purpose and for being there on the journey.
How do you spend your time?
Most of my time I spend with my family and kids, I try to enjoy every minute I have spare with them. Other than that you’ll find me inventing, creating, writing, producing, doing something artistic to scratch that constant itch.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my kids and being able to give them a life that is filled with Hope and freedom.
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
I’d love to open for Alesia Keys.
What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?
My life has always been about growing and learning and I will always continue to create something that others may benefit from. But if anything I will continue to try and put a smile on a face somewhere in the world.
Do you think that technology is improving lives?
Absolutely. Technology has a way of bringing the world together. But with anything we need to keep a strong grounding with community and those around us. Luckily music is a fantastic medium for bringing people together in the real world and technology serves as a fantastic tool for getting the word out there.
