Chase Perez is a true artist. The song 'Broke Days' launched a career full of experimenting and learning; which allowed for exponential growth with every drop. For the most part, his music is used to express himself. In his own words, "I like to believe that my intentions are to one day help someone, the same way music has helped me." Being raised in the harsh conditions within the streets of Southside Yonkers, NY (the home of Hip-Hop Icons DMX and The LOX) served as life-long exposure to the culture. With his dedication and hustler mentality, he fought many obstacles and overcame much adversity.

Kamil) Hey Chase Perez, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What first got you into music?
I've always been a fan of the culture. But it wasn't until the world stopped, during the pandemic, that I decided to make music. I started by making short songs on my phone with little-to-no effort. Then, I wrote a full length song, Broke Days, and decided to go to a professional studio. The rest is history.
How do you plan to support yourself financially long term?
Making music is financially draining, however, I've been blessed. I have a strong college degree that I can always fallback on.
Your latest track is 'All I Do'. Can you share with us the background of its creation and did any unusual things happen during its creation?
This song is different from my other songs. There's a braggadotious tone that instills confidence to the its listeners. It came about after being hyped up by my supporters. Being a New Yorker in the summertime, I had to capture that energy. Nothing unusual happened during its creation, but it has quickly grown to be one of my most popular songs. I think this is the start of a new level for me.
What are you focussing on right now?
I haven't mentioned this to anyone yet. But I am working on another EP. As a creative, I never stop working. But this project I'm putting together is something special. I can feel it. I don't want to give too much information out yet. Just know more music before the end of August.
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
I would probably be wasting my time on something stupid like Call of Duty.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
Music has helped me in many different chapters of my life. I hope my music is helping someone out there as well. Thank you.
What inspires you as an artist?
Pain and Success. I always drew from struggle and past experiences. I also love progression. It's opposing, I know. But the intersection of Pain and Success is Magical.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
The industry is controlled by a small group of individuals that all have one thing in common.. Money. If I could change anything, id put the power back into the hands of the creator, or possibly even the consumers.
How do you stay connected and up to date with the art world?
Social Media is magical. It delivers what you look for. If you want art, you get art. If you want a car, you get cars. Things move very quick nowadays.
What are your plans for the future?
I am a content creator, so I will continue creating non-stop content. I will continue delivering what the people ask for. So follow me on Instagram @ChasePerezOfficial and tell me what the people want next!
