Plastic Tofu - “Sundowner”

Plastic Tofu, the music project formed by Andrew Pelletier and Janusz Domaszuk presents a brand of high-energy pop-rock on their latest single, “Sundowner”  — from start to finish, this track bleeds energy, and is unafraid to admit so; be it the express drumming that keeps the song moving to a great cadence, to the chops in the guitars that make for a head-bang through and through, the energy equation is something that this track gets absolutely right — and we’re here to appreciate! With a certain magic to how this track comes together, there’s much you’re missing out on — unless you check out the track here!

The Linda Brady Revival - “Build Something”

Linda Brady, known in pop circles for a brand of music that exudes energy from its very veins, returns with her album, “Deep Brain Stimulator” — of which, the single, “Build Something”, catches our attention here today — with an upbeat pop rock sound that permeates the whole track, there’s much flair and pop in Linda’s voice as the ensemble navigates a fun, uptempo sound that draws from disco pop, rock and roll and blues elements; with a collection of influences that come together effortlessly well, this track quickly becomes a fiesta of energy that’s sure to brighten your day. Blend with this a mix and master that is wide and balanced, and you have a class act. Take a listen to the track here!

The Project - “Hold On Tight”

James Davis, former lead guitarist of award-winning Cali-rock band Shameless, unveils The Project’s sound — a merry blend of hard rock, high-energy rock and roll on their latest single, “Hold On Tight” — with sweetly produced vocals that retain punch and poise through the runtime of the song, the energy skyrockets from the very start of the song, getting you pulse rising — while the guitars play excellent support throughout. The drumming is also worth a special mention, injecting energy and life into the mix, making this a very well-rounded listen indeed. Check out the track here!

The Whistling Heads - “Lullaby Lady”

The Whistling Heads blend chaotic noise with a frenzied fusion of guitars, bass, and drums, creating songs that stick with you long after the ride ends — with a dark yet energetic sound on their latest single, “Lullaby Lady”, they bring the ominousness to the fore while blending it with a trademark pizazz and energy lent to it by the droning lead guitars and the loomy basses. The melodic writing is dark and mysterious, and the allure charms endlessly; while the vocal performance brings things full circle with its clean, articulate delivery. All in all, a winner of a track! Take a listen to the track here!

Skycall - “Are You Ready Now?”

By day, neuropsychiatrist Fabrice Duval pioneers chronobiology research, but by night, he channels Jimi Hendrix’s legacy through his project, SkyCall — and on his latest single, “Are You Ready Now?”, he brings the epic sound of 70s and 80s classic rock — replete with tasteful guitar solos and chugging rhythm guitars laid atop a straight-four drumming pattern, there’s beauty in the apparent simplicity in the production — but the sound is vast, and a firework of energy. There’s much to appreciate about the vocal performance with its unique timbre and energy in the choruses, and all this comes together for quite the great listen. Check out the track here!
