ГОЛОС КАА - “Roads”
Голос КАА (Golos KAA, “Voice of KAA”) is a Russian-born musician that now makes tunes out of Singapore — and from his days as part of the dark jazz project Fugu Quintet, he’s been bringing his signature brooding, introspective sound to the fore — the latest of which, is “Roads” — a slow-paced, carousel of melancholic melodies perfect for those nights where you’re up, staring at the ceiling as night turns to daybreak; and there is comfort in that calmness. Mesmershade - “Is This A Trap”
Mesmershade, a dark electronic duo, pushes genre boundaries with Hawaii-based lyricist Juniper Jow and Tokyo-based songwriter M. Munigant. On their latest single, “Is This A Trap”, they explore experimental ambient electronic hip-hop with a lo-fi flavour that hits it deep in the emotional impact department, settling into a deep, rumbling sound that evokes introspection before all else; as the lyrics shine with their depth, the rest of the ensemble with the synths and the drums plays excellent support in making this a power-packed listen that makes you sit back and a long, hard think. With over thirty years of touring, writing, and producing, Ryan R. Reynolds, also known as Uncle Ryano, brings us his latest single, “Twerkin’ With A Twang” — a power-laden sultry summer anthem that’s filled with energy from start to finish; right from the deep, distorted bass line to create maximum stank face to the ad-libs that turn the energy meter up to an eleven, there’s infectious choruses, smooth-flowing verses with half rapped and half sung sections to settle the energy dynamic nicely, and a rounded, powerful mx and master, this track is quite the listen.
