Bison Hip - “Welcome To The Rest Of Your Life”
Blues rock band Bison Hip, formed during the 2020 lockdown in Glasgow, brings life experience and raw emotion to their music — and on their latest single, “Welcome To The Rest Of Your Life”, they package their signature sound into a friendly, approachable blues rock sound with flanged guitars, soaring vocals, and a high-energy 80s-90s rock sound that will get you tapping your feet right from the get go. With smooth flowing vocals and amazing production, this track finds itself wrapped in a decidedly stellar mix and master, making for a rocker of a listen. Take a listen to the track here!
Falconeers - “Best Days”
Refugees from the 80's rock heydays, Falconeers blend orchestral, emotive, larger-than-life arena rock, with members who have shared stages with Jakob Dylan, Mike Peters, Brett Michaels, and more — and on their latest single, “Best Days”, they bring together a soulful, emotive ballad that starts out with a crisp, delicious acoustic guitar intro, making perfect headway for the classic rock production with the creamy electric guitars — and as the rhythm and groove drives you, it brings a soul-filling sound and atmosphere, and you’re singing along to it sooner than you know. Put this together with beautiful vocals and composition, and you have a runaway win to listen to. Take a listen to the track here!
Kallai - “Always/Never”
Kallai (pronounced call-eye), born from the fusion of Trance to the Sun, Luscious Apparatus, and Lost Echoes in 2023, crafts a mesmerizing blend of post-punk, shoegaze, and doom, weaving tales of melancholy and hope through reverb-soaked guitars and ethereal synths, in their latest single, "Always/Never” — press and you're immediately subjected to delightfully crunchy, warm guitars soundtracked atop a steady pulse of drums. The atmosphere here is a runaway win, with the wafty reverbs and the sung vocals sitting quite nicely within the mix. The bass here shines too, with just enough articulation to yield a sense of interest and evolution to the song, bringing in the energy changes in the song quite fluidly. Medivh - “Dead Silly Man”
Medivh, composed of brothers Emmanuele and Tommaso, blends rock, pop, and electronic elements to craft haunting melodies and bold lyrics, creating a sound praised globally for its dreamlike, fear-tinged, and exciting atmospheres — bringing an ominous sound on “Dead Silly Man”, the blend of clean vocals and the steady, pulsating synths in the background allude to a beautiful release of energy that takes on an electronic avatar. With steady basses, low-pitched vocal layers to boost the sound, and just the right amounts of articulation in the synths, this track is sure to keep you hooked, first listen, repeat, and beyond. Jane N’ The Jungle - “GTFO”
Formed in 2013 by childhood friends Jordan White and Brian Dellis, Phoenix-based Jane N’ The Jungle delivers heavy-hitting truths and infectious energy with a modern rock sound on their latest single, “GTFO”. Produced by Cameron Mizell (Avril Lavigne, Sleeping With Sirens, and more), the signature hard-rock sound embraces the high-pitched female vocals elegantly; with the energies clashing like the bridge across a chasm, the execution here is par excellence; with a winner of an ensemble and a mix to back it up strongly. All in all, this track makes for an infectious ear worm, and for good reason; take a listen to the track here!
