Only Objects - “Access Will Be Retained”
Adelaide's The Only Objects dive deep into art-rock's vast soundscape, blending groove, dissonance, and pop hooks to craft a post-genre experience — and on their latest single, “Access Will Be Retained”, they bring forth a sound that’s gentle in its ways, but intense and hard-hitting in its execution. The vocals power the sing through, making it a grooving yet cathartic listen, especially in the choruses and the refrain sections, while the pianos and the drums bring the sound full circle with much aplomb. The lyrics are introspective and delivered from the heart with a solid vocal performance, while the strumming of the guitars and the basses completes the ensemble.
