So far Dream Wife have literally found it impossible to put a foot wrong. The London three-piece (well actually four onstage) have been picking up traction for their totally standout art direction, feminist political leanings, and constant unfailing ability to produce bangers. Though I'm wary of labelling anything a ‘scene’ nowadays, Dream Wife are nonetheless affiliated with Polyester zine and a whole host of creative people and projects based around the capital. Their latest song ‘Somebody’ is a slightly different direction, sounding like Sleater Kinney’s monumental comeback album No Cities To Love. “I am not my body / I am somebody” goes the refrain, sounding like a clarion call for selfhood and sexual autonomy.
