1. Jamie Somerville - Lonely Walkers 

Lonely Walkers’ by Jamie Somerville takes on dark acoustic guitar melodies with different musical elements that feel isolated. This separation, as it were, highlights the theme of the track, which is meant to welcome the lonely and misunderstood. 

The narrator is deeply vulnerable on the track with emotions borne of isolation. “...It’s easier to hide than be denied…”, they sing, expressing an emotion that feels utterly familiar. Joining the lonely walkers is accepting your inherent loneliness and digging too deep for some sense of settled emotionality. “...All the lonely walkers hide away their pain…Oh their lust for love…”.

2. Lexi Berg - In So Deep

In So Deep’ by Lexi Berg is a quick-paced track that feels a bit darker but moves towards something a bit brighter. The narrator wants to explore the potential in someone new, expressing their urge to “...fall in so deep…” with them. The funky percussion builds and builds, helping bolster the melodies and their message. 

The soundscape seems to capture the brightness of potential love, the lightness in its promise. This while keeping the gravitas and allowing it to expand. “...I wanna fall so deep with you…I’m already in so deep with you…”. It’s hopeful with a bit of an edge.

3. Jeremy M - Little Man

Little Man’ by Jeremy M is a light acoustic track with ambient sounds that seem to urge us to slow down. To take a breath and allow ourselves to see how far we’ve come. Our narrator seems to be rounding back to a safe space, a place that feels like home. “...Slow down,...the wheels have just touched down…”. 

It tells a touching story about resilience, about those moments between all the grind and hustle that urge us to slow down. The song celebrates moments of strength, found in pockets of calm positivity and resilience. “...I’m just a little man, but my house still stands…”.

4. Lisa Michelle Anderson - Get to Somewhere 

Get to Somewhere’ by Lisa Michelle Anderson is a track that feels as though it’s constantly on the move. It narrates the story of someone who’s beginning to find herself, pulling away and running from a space that doesn’t seem to see that themselves. She wants to drive away, just to “...get to somewhere…, anywhere…”. 

The song’s slow but dynamic melodies pull the listener in, the story appealing to that familiar urge to run away. Walk away from everything and live a life far away from it all. The song even finds its protagonist right where she started, dealing with the urging escapism in a space that feels restricted.

5. Francis Fell - Wait

Wait’ by Francis Fell is a bright acoustic track with some edge, that sounds like a new beginning. Its lyrics drum up this sense of anticipation, with catchy melodies that feel bright with this sentimental hit. Its soundscape and lyrics capture restless anticipation, a bubbling feeling that the narrator equates to “...waiting for a hundred hours…”.

There’s a hint of uncertainty in their determination too, especially when the narrator admits, “...I will wait a hundred hours but I don’t know how…”. They would only have themselves for company. They seem persistent and determined. “...I can wait a hundred hours, still I wait alone…”.
