Stray Owls - Hey Now Now

“Hey Now Now” is the second song of the album “When the Going Gets Weird” and it is a road less travelled phenomenon from the genre of rock music. This is as experimental as it gets. When ravaging guitar riffs get mixed with tumbling drum beats that goes on forever, accompanied with rough folk vocals, you get a piece of music that is hard to describe and out of this world. It is innovation at its best and Stray Owls have aced it with their ethereal ideas and scintillating soundscapes. The song is a blend of many genres, influences and elements ranging from classic rock to folk to psychedelic rock. The one thing that stands out is their courage to experiment and raw musical talent. I can safely say that Stray Owls is a band you should not miss out on.

Daph Veil - I Don’t Need You (Someday)

The latest studio project from Paula Laubach called Daph Veil launches debut single “I Don’t Need You (Someday)” and it is an elegant blend of darkwave and alt rock, with a tinge of magic. Daph Veil creates an air of mystery to tell a tale of melancholy and despair. Carefully crafted instrumentation is the highlight of the song as it combines enticing guitar riffs, heavenly synths and resounding drum beats. The intricate arrangement of sounds and elements elevate the listening experience and allows the music to connect to the listener. This is one song that will linger in your mind long after the last note is played.

Adam + Attack by Fire - Mama’s Big Whiskey Show

“Mama’s Big Whiskey Show” is a mix of familiar tones that you don’t usually see together with a taste of originality. The artist blends some classic rock tunes with undertones of psychedelic music resulting in a dynamic and exuberant melody that stays in your head. The music is avant-garde and fresh, guaranteed to get you vibing to the peculiar arrangement which will get you stuck sooner than you’d think. You can hear the influences of age-old rockers like David Bowie and The Kinks who weren’t afraid to experiment with their sound and it’s the same kind of bravado you’ll see from Adam + Attack by Fire in this dynamite of a track.

Mortal Prophets - The American Junkie Show

Mortal Prophets is out with an EP, a rock ballad for the ages. “The American Junkie Show” is a sharp observation and expression of the contemporary American life. John Beckmann also known as Mortal Prophets, is an artist who pushes the boundaries of conventional music to explore new pastures, not just with sounds and genres, but also with ideas and conventions. This new track is proof of the innovation vetted out by this artist to delve into contemporary societal issues by using futuristic and abstract soundscapes. A rich texture is created using synthesizers and electronic orchestrations to tell this tale of hard-hitting truths. This is a song that will be catharsis, eye-opening and an immersive musical experience, all rolled into one.

The New Professionals - Come and Get It

The New Professionals brings you the sound of the 90’s with their new track “Come and Get It”. Building up slowly with raunchy guitar riffs that hook you to the groove, the song incorporates all the elements of a classic rock number. The soulful vocals, the rolling drum beats and the slick guitar licks that surface now and then. The rhythm guitar grounds the song with the riffs as the melody comes into being while the lead adds character to the track. It gradually builds to become much richer and heavier, delivering a rock anthem that will get you reminiscing the good old days.
