My Glass World - Words

British duo My Glass World returns with Words, a haunting and reflective song from their album Stranded Assets, out on March 7th. Combining eerie vocal harmonies, orchestral sophistication, and introspective lyricism, Words delves into the irrefutable power of language in determining feelings and actions. Jamie Telford and Sean Read put forth a spellbinding sonic journey through the song Words, as they take the listener through a quiet introspection with their music. My Glass World further hones their own musical fusion of rock, jazz, and classical through their music, and their latest single Words is proof of their talent.

VGmates - Черно-белый мир (Black and White World)

The Slavic-Australian band from Sydney, VGmates is out with their latest album “In Black and White”. Opening the album is their tension charged track Черно-белый мир (Black and White World). The song combines elements of alternative rock with electronic soundscapes to construct a foreboding ambiance that reveals the song’s emotional and vulnerable nature. As a band famous for their distinctive and original music, VGmates make use of dreamy synths and folk instruments to set themselves apart and truly express their energy. The lead vocals is grounded and raw, navigating the tight rhythm and the rock-induced orchestration. With vibrant transitions, harmonies and suspense, Черно-белый мир (Black and White World) is an immersive experience that stays with you after the last note.

The Sleepy Haunts - Why Do I Feel This Way

Seattle indie alt-rock group The Sleepy Haunts bring a poignant and reflective anthem with Why Do I Feel This Way, the lead single from their EP “BLOOM”. Lead vocalist Gillian McMahon's ethereal but powerful voice explores self-doubt and comparison, capturing the emotional rollercoaster of young adulthood. Supported by atmospheric synths, relentless guitar riffs, and constant rhythm section playing, the song smoothly glides between tender contemplation and the cleansing, breakneck chorus. Lyrics strike an intense chord, echoing the same challenges of self-identification and confirmation in our world today. Raw in their sincerity and frenetic in the use of its instrumentation, Why Do I Feel This Way is an engaging, familiar indie-rock track.

Duane Hoover - All Over Again

Atlanta based Duane Hoover revives the soul of the 60s British Invasion with All Over Again, a sentimental but surprisingly current single from his new album “Wayward Path”. Influenced by The Kinks and The Who, the song features twangy guitars, a forceful rhythmic groove, and raw, emotional vocal delivery imbued with fatigue and optimism. The song's mantra-like chorus, "all over again," adds to the themes of the emotional cycles, making it intensely resonant. The retro influences are obvious, yet Hoover's clean production and modern flair imbue the song with an ageless quality. A brash tribute to a bygone era with a clear personal twist, All Over Again is an excellent teaser of “Wayward Path”.

Terror Terror - Emasculation

Terror Terror's Emasculation is a dive into the chaotic recesses of society, offering a sonic representation that is as unsettling as it is powerful. The track bombards the listeners with warped drum beats and aggressive vocal samples, forging an atmosphere of tension. The indie rock influence of this Thai American stands out in their music, which is used to convey strong and gritty opinions on the world, backed with a fierce melody and powerful vocals. There is a certain raw ingredient to the band’s music which stands unapologetically, and Emasculation is a track that unabashedly conveys that to the listeners.
