Willis Woka - Aime Moi
The French contemporary pop artist Willis Woka is out with his latest single “Aime Moi”, an emotionally charged symphony. Just as the chorus comes in, a synth melody drops a groovy line, taking the energy of the song up a notch. This indie pop track explores a satirical take on situationships and how individuality and independence play an important role in relationships. The American singer-songwriter writes and composes music with a certain vulnerability which resonates with her listeners making her relatable. Anna Thoresen - Dear Soulmate
The indie pop artist Anna Thoresen, hailing from the city of dreams, Los Angeles is out with her latest single “Dear Soulmate”. A rhythmic muted guitar strum opens the song with Anna’s heavenly voice gliding through the soundscape. As the backing vocals kick in, the soundscape fills with harmony and beats transforming into an upbeat melody. The song delves into the artist’s timeless search for love and partnership. “Dear Soulmate” is a letter to a future lover with heartfelt lyrics and intricate arrangements. This track also marks Anna’s first time venturing into writing producing, recording, mixing and mastering the song entirely on her own. As a result, her passion and soul shine through her music.

Dark Matter Sun is out with their latest single called “Sometimes Vampires – Dark Matter Sun version, original song by The Candy Republic”. The song exudes a mystifying and eerie mood adorned by elegant string arrangements sustained to mould a surreal soundscape. When the captivating vocals come in, the instrumentation, as sparse as it already is, makes way for the voice to cut through. The vocals then lead the melody travelling through the intricate chord progressions which twist and turn the melody. Dark Matter Sun explores the darker side of life with its hauntingly beautiful vocal lines accompanied by heavenly instrumentation.
Shy Puma - I Didn’t Know
The London-based artist Shy Puma is out with her latest single “I Didn’t Know”. The song begins with synth notes sustained over the background and the soothing vocals overlap, gently rousing the music. As the beat kicks in and the guitar chords emerge, a laid-back groove comes into being, carrying the melody. The artist brings in the most colourful chords to accentuate the melody progression, which keeps travelling through melancholic nodes, occasioned by the powerful outbursts. As the song progresses, there is a certain dreaminess that surfaces that brings out the vulnerability of the artist. Working in the industry for more than a decade as a session artist, lending her voice to many projects, Shy Puma is on fire when exhibiting her own sound.
