Dr Dawsound has brought his unique and stellar style of producing and song-crafting to the forefront of the musical industry with his latest album “Universal Love”. This twelve-track masterpiece takes you on a journey of melodic twists and turns that will leave you addicted and craving more, and we here at Lost In the Manor were absolutely blown away by his work!
Opening on “Stellar Pulse” this track introduces you to Dr Dawsounds style and his unique blend of club and stellar pop sounds that will have you grooving in no time. This track draws you in and has you immersed and you barely notice the transition into “Electric heartbeat”. The second track on this body of work takes a distinctly more upbeat tone but all its melodies and themes are natural progressions of what we have already heard with the opening. “Amor De Verano” is the most ‘classically’ pop song of this album and has a wonderful hooky beat to it that will have you replaying it after your listen of this album. “In My House (Good Vibes” and “Girl In a Hurry” progress and carry through the energetic and uptempo vibe that you would be fully immersed in at this point with their soundscapes. “Blue” brings us some of that signature bass and synth-pop beats that we come to expect of an album of this inclination. As we close out the first half of this album, you realise that you are utterly encaptivated by the vibrant sonic landscapes that are being painted in your ears. “Music”, which opens the second half of this experience is a standout track from this work as it brings us the most orchestral elements from this mix and makes for one of the best listening experiences. “U (Universal Love)” is the second standout from this album and brings us our first taste of acoustic mastery from this artist. “Little Girl” and “Deadline” bring us back to the familiar synth-heavy beats we are acclimated to at this point and reintroduce the energy from the opening. Closing out this album are “No Gravity” and “Perfect Time” which bring our listening experience full circle.
“Universal Love” has an excellent production quality owed to Dr Dawsound’s background as a producer and exerts song sounds full-bodied and full of life. However, this achievement is made all the more impressive when the fact that this album has no samples or loops is put into context. We can't wait to see what this artist puts out next and highly recommend you check their work out for yourself!
