Goodcry - Low
Goodcy has a wonderfully experimental and modern take on rock music with their latest release “Low”. The song stands at the boundary of rock and techno-pop with heavily electronic production and synths making up the ambience, along with a sprinkling of organic instrumentations resulting in a wonderfully distinct soundscape. The song has a hooky melody and the vocal performance on this song is excellent giving this song a contagious nature that keeps you coming back to it. Genre-defying and bold, Goodcry has crafted a stellar piece of music that needs your appreciation, so go listen to “Low” and add it to your playlists today!
Wild As Her - Beautifully Broken
If you are a fan of country music with a modern take on it inspired by artists like Heart or Bonnie Tyler, then Wild As Her are the artists you ought to check out. Their latest release “Beautifully Broken” is a wonderfully upbeat and powerful song with a liberating sound to it. With a message about accepting your flaws and viewing them as beautiful, the masterfully penned lyrics as well as Caroline's passionate singing injects this song with a raw emotion and uplifting feeling. Wild As Her are incredibly talented artists and this anthemic track should have a spot reserved for it in your playlists!
Call To The Void - Uncontrollable
Call To The Void brings an edgy ambience and unrelenting energy with their latest release “Uncontrollable”. Opening on fast-paced guitar chords that make way to the powerful main riff of this song, underpinned by a thunderous bass and spirited drums the song makes full use of the holy trinity of rock instruments; guitars, drums and bass. Jack Osborne’s vocals are raw and full of passionate emotion alternating between reserved in the verse to completely uncontrollably powerful in the chorus, this song comes at you in waves. Technically accomplished, and full of life, Call To The Void are artists you shouldn't be sleeping on!
Kid Lazuras - All Over Again
“All Over Again” by Kid Lazuras is one of those songs with which all you have to listen to are the first couple of seconds and you know you are about to listen to something you'll love. Opening with a funky and ear-catching bassline with springy bright guitar leads, the song sets its tone instantly, leading into heartfelt vocals. This song is the perfect package with its mix and instrumentation being like no other. I loved listening to “All Over Again” by Kid Lazuras, and with their technical mastery, funky melodies and infectious charm so will you. So do yourself a favour and add this song to your playlists!
July - Medicated
July’s latest song “Medicated” has a wonderful modern sound while having elements of the nostalgic late 80s and 90s. The singing on this song is sublime giving it an authentically hooky feel. Atypical in its instrumentation, “Medicated” is heavily electronically produced giving it a dream-like ambience and an incredibly immersive soundscape that you can easily lose yourself in. I caught myself singing the lyric “I just fell in love, I just fell in love” several times while writing this review, which is a testament to the ear-catching infectiousness of this tune. July is an incredible artist who you should check out!
