Last Laugh. - Home
“Home” by Last Laugh. is a song that takes its time to build up its energy, but by the time it does, you are so lost in the music that it has taken control of you. Opening on a heavily distorted bassline with a fat tone that segues into the amazing vocal performance with guitars slowly being injected into the mix, Last Laugh takes a methodical approach to building this song's soundscape. Ultimately crescendoing near the closing thirty seconds the band is going all out unleashing their full musical power onto this track, leaving you with an eargasm and an adrenaline rush as this song closes out. One of the best music-listening experiences I’ve had, I hold this song in the same regard as any other must-listen!
Jeremy Peter Allen - It’s Alright
Jeremy Peter Allen is a Brisbane-based artist and “It’s Alright” is the opening track of his solo debut album “Algorithm & Blues”. The song is emotive and masterfully crafted. Opening on thumping drums and warm acoustic guitars, “Its Alright” builds a wide atmosphere from second one that cushions our ears softly for Jeremy’s warm vocal lines. The lyrics of this song successfully capture a very rare feeling of denial and coping bordering on acceptance, and the songwriting will resonate with you as you listen to it. Jeremy is immensely talented as a musician and we can't wait to see what his artistic vision brings us next!
28to15 - (Hey Hey) Beautiful Day
“(Hey Hey) Beautiful Day” by 28to15 is a wonderfully vibrant song that is sure to leave an impression on you with its melodies and tone. Going for a somewhat 70s sound, 28to15 has an upbeat tone on this track supported by organic instrumentation with vibrant guitar chord progressions, warm vocals and a relaxing golden guitar solo. A song about the dichotomy of optimism in the face of darkness, the songwriting touches your soul. 28to15 is a talented outfit and if they continue to put out pieces at this level of mastery, they are sure to be a disruptor of the rock music scene!
The Lonely Together - Talk About Anything
The Lonely Together have released a dreamy, gorgeous track with their latest release “Talk About Anything”. With a wonderful blend of real instruments and synth backing, The Lonely Together has crafted a wonderful ambience and wide soundscape that will bring joy to your ears. With elements of Psychedelic Rock sprinkled into it, The Lonely Together have no hesitation when it comes to flexing their immense skills and talents in making music. A hopeful and upbeat message is embedded in the songwriting with themes of mental health, the song has an anthemic feel with a foreboding sense of urgency. Multilayered, textured and nuanced, “Talk About Anything” is a true triumph of music!
Gold Frames - Burning Bridges
Gold Frames fill you with nostalgia for the sound of the 80s with their style and “Burning Bridges” is a song that is energetic and simply compels you to rock out! This Alternative Rock track is incredibly well produced with frantic-sounding guitar riffs, a thumping bassline and steady drumming. The vocals are gritty and passionate and the chorus is hooky and will have you singing along to it. A song about regretting the choices that someone you care about is making that are hurting your relationship, the lyricism is poignant and cuts deep. Gold Frames have scored a hole-in-one with this track so do go check it out!
