Thantophobe-Strange Light

Thomas Johnsen draws inspiration from a shimmering light in his latest double single, Strange Light. You would expect it to become an indie pop rock number, but we reach The Pixies territory. The result is something fresh, original and well crafted. The song is immensely entertaining, Thantophobe being that one surprising collection of tunes and ideas that it is. The steady beat and melody leads make this one a memorable track that sticks in your mind. Thomas Johnsen is a one man band that understands compositions in a textural capacity that many wouldn’t be able to. The second single Esteban is an equally delightful number, listen here:

Gary Dranow-Shimmering

This musician is in his hard rock phase, and he’s bringing a set of feelings along. The song is about a bright, interesting and magnetic personality that you get infatuated with. It is a reminder of love rock, those Bon Jovi years and really warms up your car radio for something romantic and emotional. The mix is an incredible result of many layers, and you’re going to enjoy Shimmering for the earworm it is. Gary Dranow is composing some really catchy tunes with his retro feel rock, so listen to the song here:

Electric Circus-Losing My Faith

Shaun Lamb and his rock henchmen have a perfect cocktail of energy for your playlist. Losing My Faith is one of Electric Circus’ best tracks, with a catchy riff and a stylistic delivery that makes it a quick but memorable number. Bringing that alt-rock atmosphere, you can feel the tempo build for something magnificent, and it features a really cool chorus as well. Fat Bottomed Boys-La La La

Bringing some Queen style rock to us unabashed, are the Fat Bottomed Boys. Their latest composition promises to be one that will remain in your memory for long. Sounding like an acoustic ballad, you might be confused as to what direction this song is going. That is where the twist comes in, where there are addictive lyrics coming in and memorable harmonies retain. The guitar picking is impeccable, the words are entertaining, and this selection proves to be a diverse range of some of the best of rock in the world right now. Listen to Fat Bottomed Boys here:

Civil Simian-Chameleon

Delicious grooves and unique styles come together in Civil Simian’s music. Their latest single Chameleon is a culmination of some amazing prog rock sounds, while still honouring their unique voice. The makers of Ouroboric have something vocally explorative and percussively stupendous to enjoy. There are many little riffs and layers to get infatuated with, and that’s what happened to us. Rhythms in this single are going to make you change colour, all puns intended. The sections are unpredictable, and becomes groovy and unique in shades, every few seconds.
