Steven Hicks-Bootleg Love

The Atlanta music vibe is captured efficiently by Steven Hicks. The guitarist and musician is responsible for some serious numbers with his bands The Painkillers and Truckstop Confidential. The single Bootleg Love shows how he writes and performs as a solo man as well. It is an emotional single with some clever writing and a spectacular vibe that Steven Hicks can hold on to. Creative, rich in melody and unique, he brings the energy of an impassioned songwriter. It has a retro soak unlike any other, and we love for it to be the opening single of our playlist this week:

Trickshooter Social Club-Beautiful

You can expect all kinds of rock from Trickshooter Social Club. It is a band that creates quite the air of dancing rock, and evolves to a stadium saluting sound. Their latest single Beautiful shows us how interesting their music can get, with a QOTSA like riff and a balance that is enviable. There are synth infusions as well, and it seems like the band is prepping for an extension on their original sound. You’ll be singing along to the verse in no time, and that is their guarantee. Listen to the glamorous single here with us:

Labasheeda-Curiosity

This is the new gen of post punk, and Labasheeda want to lead the way. Raw, rough and heavy, their music creates the kind of typhoon only some can. Fresh off recess high, their song Curiosity shows them celebrating the signature tone they have developed. The False Flag and Head band has levelled us completely with their choices in melody, and the stickiness of their songs. It is worth noting that in 1:13 seconds, you’ll find yourself headbanging like there is no tomorrow. Listen to the single here and judge it for yourself. Bottoms up:

Stuart Rolfe-How Lovin’ You Goes

The country wind in our playlist comes from Stuart Rolfe. Polished, well written, and peasant melodies are his penchant, and he loves telling us tales. These are love songs that you want to hear, but aren’t around any more. He keeps that essence the same, while having his soothing voice sing the poetry he has chosen for this song. It just makes you feel special, and if you’re hearing it, he is singing it for you. You can listen to his song here and dance along to the warm tune of How Lovin’ You Goes:

RHEIN-Moe

Reinier van den Haak creates quite the flow with RHEIN. It is the kind of song that you want to walk to with a swagger, and you can feel the groove embedded deep in your veins. Erik Harbers and Ruud Voesten join Reinier to make what can be called an indie supergroup. This collective has musicians who are successful in their own right, but make this band that glides through the rhythms that they have composed together. It is an exciting single, something that tapers off that excess energy and has an easygoing, natural flow to it. You can listen to Moe here and follow them for more:
