Mike Masser can create shivers with his rock. From his time in a rock band to starting out as a spearhead solo project, he has created some kickass riffs and memorable lyrics. His single is called The Phoenix, and rides on the metaphor of the legendary creature. Attention to tones, his well crafted, strong vocals and imagery make this a definite rock playlist addition. It has that 00s rock energy that overrode every radio station in the beginning of the decade, and Mike Masser has the power to imbibe it all. Mono Sources-The Last of Daylight
A bluesy kick can do a lot for your day, and that is what Mono Sources bring. The kind of song Black Keys would put out, this has that dapper swagger that does a lot with minimal notes. Tones on the track are crisp, it rides on a rhythm that’s intrinsic, and has some great twists and changes in the style. Vocals are on point, and you’ll feel like that background ocean sound is delivering a mystique unlike any other song you’ve heard lately. It builds like an alt-rock song, and has an explosive ending. Peri Rae-the ocean (i could die)
Singer-songwriter Peri Rae gives an astonishingly honest glimpse of her thought flow, straight by the ocean. It is a delightlful indie rock break in our playlist, and creates that ebb and flow the tides bring in. Her vocals are crisp, clear and a breath of salty sea breeze that add that tinge of bittersweet memories by the waters. Steve Young-Looks Like You
Singer-songwriter Steve Young gives us that fresh bluesy energy with a clever single that makes you want to dance. Clever artwork follows, and keeps your long drive that much more interesting. When he isn’t performing, he’s teaching, so there is a lot to learn from how he weilds his axe. Economic string work, stylish licks and an overall swinging vibe to the song make it an infectious number to sing along to. Feel the breeze, with Steve Young and his wordplay with this song. Mojo Brother’s Band-Devil’s Eye
There are no better performers on the live scene than Mojo Brother’s Band. Creating some of the most memorable rock tracks, they are back with Devil’s Eye. It is a culmination of creating a dramatic, stellar storytelling experience. The magic is obviously there, dare I say, mojo-for they do know how to get a crowd on their feet.
