This week’s pop picks create Christmas merry with the month leading to the spirit in our LITM POP LISTS with artists like Ralphy, ProntaCorde, Drew Danburry and others.
Ralphy-Disco Sally
You need a wave of energy in the morning, and Ralphy will help you get there. Her pop single Disco Sally brings the goodness of the retro era with some contemporary production. Samjgarfield creates something that blends perfectly with Ralphy’s vocal tone, the hype a chorus deserves is something we cascade into. There are industrial elements that really keep the party going, and is perfect for the next rave you’re invited to. There are changing audio textures that make this a fascinating journey to go through, with the infusing of viral, pumping zeal. Listen to the single here:
ProntaCorde-Everybody Clap!
Jose-Alberto Gallegos brings us some catchy music with his latest song, Everybody Clap! It has the capability of becoming a dance floor standard, and the hook was meant to get everyone together. In the 90s, dominating bass notes like this brought everyone to the dance floor, and ProntaCorde wants to revisit this theme. His music has always had this buzzing energy, so we aren’t surprised the same is exuded from this single as well. Trying out some unique techniques, he still maintains the wild energy a pop song would joust with. Listen to the fiery single here with us!:
Drew Danburry-Striker
With his effervescent melodies and calming voice, Drew Danburry can lay the worries out of your heart. His latest single is an effort at that, bringing an innocence that once stayed within everyone. A calming, slow tempo and radiant, positive lyrics make this song one of our favourites this week. Piper Greenbaum makes an appearance as well, and his poetic lyrics seem one journal away from being reality. His “outback father” personality really shines through with the way he constructs his words, and Striker is one of his best efforts in keeping our eyes on the prize. Listen to the single here:
