In this edition of LITM Rock Picks, rock gets some new trailblazers with artists like Dirty Mitts, Wandering Blind, Avalon Stone, Jersey Calling & D3lta. This is where rock gets its dereved revival!
Dirty Mitts-Ride the Storm
Dirty Mitts have been delivering some sick hard rock hits from the start. It reminds us of rock radio from the 80s, riff based rock hitting the back of your cranium. Ride the Storm carries that Mountain kind of ring to it, and vocals are extremely clean and classy. Dirty Mitts are showcasing their element with something they specialise in, and they are prepared to show it with panache. From the tempo to the lyrics, this is rock at its finest with one of the finest indie hard rock bands. Listen to their single here with us!:
Wandering Blind-Only A Matter of Time
Indie rock has a saviour with Only A Matter of Time. It is a brilliant effort in keeping that clean, sharp sound and making memorable lyrics. It has a crisp delivery, and Wandering Blind is the essence of the movement, especially the kind of tempo that keeps your feet tapping. You’re in for a fun treat with Wandering Blind and their new song. The easygoing rhythm creates the whirlwind energy that our playlist requires, with all the frills and bells. You’ll sing along to these harmonies in no time.
Avalon Stone-Forget You
Her debut places her instantly in the hard rock legends map. Avalon Stone is the new rock superstar, and all she needed is her single called Forget You for that. The riff is deep, killer and spectacular in tempo. Avalon Stone has a commanding, brilliant voice that makes the chorus one of the best of the week. The way this song is constructed is a gem to hear on repeat constantly, and it is one of the favourites from an indie performer. Listen to her spotlight performance here with us and rock out with metal horns:
Jersey Calling-The Things Life Leaves Behind
The pop-punk outfit brings something of social value and incredible melody with their song. The Things Life Leaves Behind follows an immense message, while driving home some of the best instrumental recordings. The production is tight, and is the closest to a live recording we have heard in a while. The conscious lyrics filter through the fitting phrases and punchy chorus parts. The song is a single from their album Parasocial Security, and encapsulates their entire sound with just the kicking tenor and beat. Their song is the driving tempo and beat we require for this playlist, and it checks all the boxes:
D3lta-Happy Out of Love
We close this enjoyable playlist with a soft rock performance from D3lta. His modulating voice, attention to detail and lyrical depth make this a game changer in terms of tune and tone. Happy Out of Love has a funky downbeat, and is easy to lock into by the groove. Pushing the style is easy enough, with verse and chorus as well. Harmonic elements prepare you for some textural layers that belong like glittering forces on the song. D3lta makes some pretty awesome music, and you can listen to the song here and follow for more:
