Dubbing it up with class, ‘On Me’ is the new single from all-female rap crew The Sorority. They first collaborated at a cypher on International Women’s Day 2016 and have since been praised by publications like Noisey and FADER. In this case, the hype is thoroughly well deserved. ‘On Me’ is a masterly slice of future rap, incorporating elements of heavy dub reggae with R&B harmonies and Damn style minimalist production. The ladies don’t hold back lyrically either with brutal shades like “Put you on the shelf when I’m done / You’re a trophy kill” mixing with loose Caribbean (represent!) patois to make a track that is uniquely threatening, dominating, clever, and a cut above all that fucking money and murder rap.
'On Me' is from the group's debut full length, Pledge, out April 2018.
