London’s premier indie dance outfit Shopping return with their first taste of music since their 2015 album Why Choose?. The production is slicker but their ants-in-their-pants spikiness hasn’t abated one jot. For a group that have said they’ve never consciously set out to have a message, or be political, this one’s full of ambiguous phrases about semi-consciousness and procrastination. When your band is called Shopping and you pop this kinda stuff in a song called ‘The Hype’ it all begins to feel suspiciously zeitgeisty.
