Occupying a twisted sensibility and raw power that would leave any Iggy and the Stooges fan salivating, Clever Thing are establishing their mark as one of Brighton’s favourite new bands. A maelstrom of hair, jilted riffs and dense bass are a primitive delight on stage as new favourites ‘In A Tissy’ & ‘Get Snappy’ veritably seduce all Bad For Lazarus and 80’s Matchbox fans in the audience. However, it’s the lucid, delirious climax of set closer ‘Angeline’ which steals the show. A song strong enough to be a festival anthem or BBC 6Music favourite this summer.
Song writing duo Daisy Coburn and Rich Fownes have an unmistakable chemistry and have amassed a heavy arsenal of great songs and an imperious live set to match. Make sure you make time to be possessed by Clever Thing this year.
Catch them live on March 11th at Sticky Mike's in Brighton
